Honking For Christmas
Honking For Freedom; the best Christmas gift to help friends and family awaken.
Christmas 2024 will be the second Christmas after that dark time in Canadian history when the authoritarian governments of Justin Trudeau, Francois Legault, Doug Ford, and other premiers across Canada locked Canadians in our homes like cattle. They demanded that we either isolate from our families or enforced quotas demanding we screen for vaccine status to see our loved ones under threat of legal enforcement. Insert your 1984 George Orwell analogy here.
I have visited several countries since the Freedom Convoy to give speeches and interviews about Canadas most loving protest and to discuss the uncomfortable truth of what really happened in Canada during that time. I have yet to travel to a jurisdiction where Canadian truckers are not embraced as a symbol of freedom. From England to El Salvador, From Colombia to across the USA, the overwhelming majority agree Canadian Trucks as a symbol of freedom. The only people to seem clueless of that fact are people tainted by narrative poisoning in Canada and it’s usually limited a few left wing cities in Canada struggling with the woke mind virus.
Unfortunately, the ongoing efforts of the political class to divide many of us who unified during freedom convoy, and their continued attempts to co-opt local support groups and bribe individuals to say anything, persist. The political money laundering that is pervasive in all of Canada's political parties also continues.
Many have tried to warn Canadians of the corrupt political party protection racket including independent media sources like Diverge Media (Was the Freedom Convoy Compromised) that have been covering this ongoing issue something many try to ignore and understandably so. The desire to return to normality is something we all desire, but some of us refuse to lie to ourselves to achieve it. As I have said in many interviews, the solution to end the current cultural chaos does not lie in one election or in the hands of one politician or one political party. We need to change the culture, and the politics will follow, and this change could take a generation.
The good news is, the Freedom Convoy was a turning point for change around the world, beginning with Robert F. Kennedy’s Speech at Bitcoin Miami, followed by the recent election victories of Javier Milei in Argentina and Geert Wilders in the Netherlands. Milei and Wilders can both attribute their victories in small part due to the successful cultural pushback that began in Ottawa at the Freedom Convoy and then shocked the world when the Trudeau government unlawfully froze our bank accounts while Doug Ford sought an injunction to freeze convoy donations. It will take time for people on the political right to accept that vicious opportunists in the uni-party that sold us out in Ottawa but it is important to expose this over time. We cannot fix a system that is corrupt on all ends if we only focus on one aspect of the system.
There are many signs of hope, one of which for me was connecting with Konstantin Kissin and Francis Foster in the UK and joining them on Triggernometry. This was important because it is an indicator that people in the political centre and even centre left are slowly beginning to open up and listen to the dangers of woke ideology.
I have received many supportive emails from the Triggernometry audience that echoed the flood of positive messages we received during freedom convoy. People who may not have identified with our plight at the time and had fallen victim to the overwhelming amount of state propaganda during COVID are now wanting to engage in open dialogue, and learn what they got wrong. The weakness of political & media brainwashing is eventually, the brainwashing begins to wear off, and that is the stage we are beginning now with respect to COVID and the Freedom Convoy.
This brings me to the point of this article: My book. Now I'm going to pitch you to consider it for a Christmas gift, and here is why. First the context.
During the Freedom Convoy, I did my best to share a positive message in countless interviews to reach across the political spectrum because I believe societal politicization and division is leverage used by the political class, and more concerning, the foreign entities funding them, to retain power. My positive messaging worked, which is why I interacted with Liberals, NDP supporters, and the elephant in the room; the numerous Liberal MPs considering a confidence vote against Trudeau. This is the real reason Trudeau envoked the Emergencies Measures Act.
Yes, the conservatives blew that opportunity as well but I digress.
Many of us learned at a young age, "History is a pack of lies about events that never happened told by people who weren't there." - George Santayana. I want to prevent the Freedom Convoy from being just another set of political lies. My assumption was the political class, after co-opting the Freedom Convoy, would try to rewrite history and replace it with an inaccurate political narrative which is what you were watching during the Public Order Emergency Commission; a pathetic and colossal embarrassment to Canada.
When Tamara asked me to get involved in the Freedom Convoy, I specifically said in that first conversation, “Okay Tamara but no political parties. Remember what happened to your convoy in 2019,” another convoy that was co-opted that she told me she helped organize. “We are there to end the mandates, ArriveCan, and regain our freedoms” I said and she agreed. I'm not sure why some people who promised to be politically neutral now describe their involvement as political. I, Brigitte, Chad, Chris, the hundreds of volunteers and the truckers parked for three weeks in the frigid cold were not in Ottawa be pawns for the very political class that was enforcing lockdown. Political party team play leads to less freedoms not more.
In "Honking For Freedom: The Trucker Convoy That Gave Us Hope," I tell the real story of how we came together to change the course of Canada and show the political class they have crossed the line. I share the details of Canada greatest moment of unity and how people from Quebec, The Maritimes, and The Prairies all found each other, and the political division we had been brainwashed with since childhood was all fiction. We were once again all Canadian with more similarities than differences.
Most importantly, I wanted to have a book that could reach the other side that was lost during COVID. A book that enables us to turn on our headlights and illuminate the way for them to walk ahead and find themselves again, relearning what it is to not feel alone. If you read the book you’ll understand the reference.
If you have friends and family who were lost during COVID, please consider getting them a copy of "Honking For Freedom: The Trucker Convoy That Gave Us Hope." this Christmas. What better gift for the spirit of the Christmas season then a story about hope, love and regaining our Canadian identity as kind, free people all while inspiring the world.
